NX-522 Radioscopic inspection system

Standard X Ray Systems

State-of-the-art Constant Potential X-Ray systems for non destructive testing and inspection from 80kV thru 450kV, compete with tubehead, controller generator(s) and all the components required to operate the system. Focal spots starting as low as 0.2mm.

Mobile X Ray Systems

Compact and low-weight, National X-Ray XMB160 and XMB225 constant potential X-ray systems are specially designed for mobile use.

All components are arranged on a transportation trolley featuring two tilting positions and an eye for a crane hook. This enables one person to carry the whole device to the place of operation with a minimum of effort. When necessary, all components can be removed from the trolley.

Our mobile X-ray systems are suited for a wide variety of applications, ranging from low density composite material to aluminum and steel products with thicknesses up to approx. 38mm (choose model XMB160) and 60mm (select the XMB225).

System operation is simple. Set-up modes are menu-driven. All indicators, operating modes and fault diagnosis of internal or external errors are displayed in clear text; optionally, the system can be configured to display in other languages. What's more, up to 100 frequently used exposure data (kV, mA, time, focal spot) can be stored for quick retrieval by program number.

After setting the inspection parameters on the main control unit, the system can be switched ON/OFF by remote control. An integrated warning lamp indicates X-rays being emitted.

The 40kHz technology ensures very high system output stability, precise energy setting and extremely fast changeover to any selected new value. Any fluctuation or deviation of set values are controlled and corrected in microseconds. In many cases these features considerably reduce inspection times.

Portable X Ray Systems

The low weight and compact size of these portable X-ray units make them an ideal solution for field inspection. High frequency switching technology results in extremely stable X-ray output for very short exposure times.

The control unit is microprocessor controlled and housed in a rugged, splash-proof casing. KV, mA and exposure time can be adjusted by direct keyboard entry or by selecting one of 100 exposure programs. All operational information is available on a two-line alphanumeric backlit display. Tube head warning lamp, pressure, temperature, and cooling water flow (on the SMART 160W) are all monitored to prevent operation in unsafe conditions.

The control unit recognizes individual tube heads and automatically selects the required running-in programs. For operation supervision, data for the latest 100 exposures are recorded and can be recalled on the display or downloaded to a printer.

The SMART is immune to power supply irregularities and has a low level of power consumption. The thin, light interconnection and power supply cables are equipped with shock resistant plugs. Along with its robust metal-ceramic X-ray tube, the SMART System is a reliable, easy-to-handle portable X-ray unit.

microfocus

Microfocus X Ray Sources

Operating voltages to 320kV, with detachable head for filament replacement feature. Excellent for imaging, where magnification is required up to 1800x.

With focal spots down to 2 microns, National X-Ray Corp's Microfocus sources provide high-resolution solutions for applications where other systems would fail to meet stringent inspection criteria. Available in configurations up to 320kV, they can be incorporated into any standard or custom Xray system. Operating in real-time or acquired-image mode, Microfocus X-ray sources are ideally suited to a wide range of detector types and are fully compatible with the National X-Ray 'IMPS III' Image Processing and the 3-D Computed Tomography software packages.

    Features include:
  • Up to 1800x magnification
  • Resolutions down to sub-micron range
  • Operating voltages up to 320kV
  • Interchangeable filaments & targets
  • Unbreakable tube - demountable
  • Robust design for production floor or lab use
